Reaching Outside the Box

Today was a exciting day for Blue Moon Lacrosse. It began last fall with the idea of having small lax clinics for brand new boys and girls of any age. I am corresponding with area associations and supplying the sticks, balls and other equipment to put these clinics on for a nominal fee for each new attendee. It was fun to see kids, ranging from 3rd to 8th grade.
It started out with basic skills for the kids and the association had some new coaches to attend and run the clinic. I spent time with the parents telling them about what the kids really need to attend there associations spring lacrosse session. All the parents I spoke with liked the idea that Dave's Sport Shops in Fridley and Blaine took interest in the camp and their kids lacrosse needs.
Also Blue Moon Lacrosse gave away 4 SWARM tickets in a drawing to a lucky first time attendee and their parents. ENJOY the GAME to the winners! All the parents were very interested in Blue Moon's upcoming Late Spring Lax Camp for kids, grades 3rd-8th. It is tenatively set for April and May. Please look for more upcoming information on BML Camps and Clinics.

Wow, Great Event!

Yesterday was an exciting day for High school woman's lacrosse in the state of Minnesota.
Blue Moon Lacrosse was invited to be part of the Minnesota Swarm/Harrow Lacrosse girls high school lacrosse clinic at the Excel Center in St. Paul Minnesota. The clinic had 60 women lacrosse players and 25 woman's lacrosse coaches from area high schools.

We got to meet the coaching staff from the famed Notre Dame College Woman's Lacrosse team. We learned a lot, and were impressed with the level of dedication and motivation that the coaches brought.

At one point I noticed one gal who might have been out of her element at the clinic. One coach from Notre Dame saw the same thing I did, and she took the time to go over to the player and show her how to implement the skills. After the coach turned away the gal had the biggest smile on her face! I asked the player afterward what the coach had said and she said to hang in their and then she showed me how to do the drill and have fun. "It meant the world to me," she said. After the clinic was over, the Minnesota Swarm/Harrow Lacrosse had a coaches clinic. The players spoke on what they thought of the clinic and they all responed in a positive manner. The overwhelming opinion was that they just wished that the clinic lasted longer.

All the women players stopped by the Harrow/Blue Moon Lacrosse booth to check out the latest equipment from Harrow Sports. The new complete sticks and the P7 head for women lax players by Harrow got alot of attention from the players and coaches.

Players signed up for the Summer camp put on by Blue Moon Lacrosse.

Camps will start will start in Mid-June after school has ended. There will be three camp sessions. A beginners camp, June 14-17th., Intermediate camp June 21-24th. and a Advanced camp June 27-30th. For more information you can contact BlueMoonLacrosse@aol.com.
A big Thank you to Brooke and the Minnesota Swarm, and Brock from Harrow Sports for including Blue Moon Lacrosse and Dave's Sport Shop to such a great event!
